Artist Statement

In her work Casey explores themes of nostalgia and re-connection, as she journeys through related matters in personal life. A student of Jungian Psychology and Art Therapy, Casey sees her practice as a circumambulation of psyche.

Her work explores our relationship with the land, ourselves; and supporting the wellbeing and harmony of the above.

Her work is deeply inspired by nature and folk tales, which amount to the driving force that irrigates her practice.

Through use of poetry, sculpture, photography and film, Casey’s art navigates narratives of both outer and inner worlds; and creates images which bring to consciousness the intimate relationship we have with the landscape and our own inner nature.
